I was in Mumbai couple of months back for an official visit. I did make time after work to see this most lively city in India. Thanks to my friend Arindam who agreed to show his city off to me, I was able to see some of the most popular places in Mumbai. We started with Bandstand in Bandra (w) which is a posh sea facing residential area - homes of popular Bollywood stars like Salman, Shahrukh. Nice walk along the area and we passed the Taj Lands End to reach the Bandra Fort to get a view of the famous Bandra Worli Sea Link. I must say that its a beautiful view from there.
We then took a taxi drive through the Bandra Worli Sea Link, passing through the famous Haji Ali to reach Hanging Garden to get a view of the Queens' Necklace during sunset.
We then went to Chaupati and sat there to get some more view of the Arabian sea and the Mumbai night colors.
After being satisfied, we had dinner and proceeded to VT station (now CST) to catch our train back home.
I must say that there is a magic about the city that cannot be described in words - just need to experience it ... !!
